Gaim Portable or portable gaim is the versatile gaim instant messaging client packaged as portable application (app), so that you keep your buddy lists, contacts list and all the Im settittings with you where ever you like. Gaim has support for Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, AOl and Jabber networks. It is multi-protocol messenger which means you can logon to multiple networks with multiple ids at the same time with an ease. Copying your local Gaim settings to portable gaim:
Your local Gaim settings are usually installed in C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\.gaim\ Just copy that .gaim directory to the GaimPortable\Data\settings directory and you’re all set.

Running Portable gaim on the cd:
Just install it locally and run it at least once, configuring it to your liking. Then burn the whole Gaim Portable directory to CD.
